Career Path :
Teacher for 40 years: 30 in First Grade.... Nine in current position. First 2 years of teaching in Harrisburg City Schools. Past 38 years at the Harrisburg Academy. Selected as a PA Keystoner in Technology for 2007. Attended the Keystone Technology Summit in Shippensburg, July of 2007.
Family Information :
Two grown married daughters and five grandchildren. Daughters, Melissa("85) and Beth ("87) are Academy graduates. Melissa is currently teaching third grade at the Harrisburg Academy and runs the Academy Summer Camp programs. Younger sister Anne ("75) and younger brother Mike ("71) both graduated from the Harrisburg Academy. Anne is the Lower School Librarian at the Harrisburg Academy. Grandchildren McGee (2nd grade) and Gery (K) currently attend the Harrisburg Academy. Grandchildren Henry (4th Grade,) Calvin (2nd Grade,) and Jane (K) attend St. Timothy’s Academy in Raleigh, N.C.
Personal Interests :
Grandchildren, Penn State Football, Bluegrass Music, History, Reading, and my pets (2 cats.)
